Power Automate Freelancer Vienna: My Approach
When asked what sets me apart from a classic IT agency or an in-house IT employee, my answer is usually this: I’m there when you need me — and not on your payroll when you don’t.
As a freelance process automation specialist in Vienna, I work project-based. That means: no multi-year contracts, no expensive retainer models, no agency overhead. Instead, you get direct access to my expertise — for exactly the project that’s on your mind right now.
Why Vienna — but also DACH-wide?
My home base is Vienna. That means for clients in Vienna and Lower Austria, I’m happy to meet in person — for a kick-off meeting, a workshop with your team, or a handover.
But for most automation projects, that’s not even necessary. Power Automate, SharePoint, and Teams can be fully implemented and tested remotely. I have clients in Graz, Salzburg, Innsbruck — and in Germany and Switzerland too. The difference compared to a local provider is minimal; the advantage of specialisation is much greater.
How a typical project works
Phase 1: Getting to know each other (free)
Before anything is invoiced, we talk. In a 30–60 minute conversation (remote or in person in Vienna), I explain what’s technically possible, and you describe your situation. No sales pitch — just an honest conversation.
Phase 2: Concept and proposal
After our conversation, I’ll put together — usually within 1–2 business days — a concrete concept including:
- Description of the proposed solution
- Effort estimate in hours or days
- Fixed price or hourly rate (depending on project size)
- Timeline
I work either on a fixed price (for clearly defined projects) or time-and-materials (for iterative or exploratory work).
Phase 3: Implementation
I build the solution — for simple projects within a few days, for more complex ones in multiple sprints. You receive regular updates, and I’m quickly reachable by email or Teams if questions arise.
Phase 4: Handover and documentation
At the end, the solution belongs to you — fully documented, explained, and handed over. I walk you and your team through how everything works. If something needs to be adjusted later: no problem, I remain available.
Who is this collaboration suitable for?
My typical client is an Austrian SME with 10 to 200 employees that already uses Microsoft 365 and has realised that many workflows are still done manually — even though they don’t have to be.
I often work with:
- Managing directors who simply want things to work
- Team leads who want to relieve their staff of recurring tasks
- IT managers who don’t have internal capacity for Power Automate projects
- Finance and HR teams, where manual workflows tend to accumulate
What I don’t do
In the spirit of transparency: I don’t provide ongoing IT support (that’s a job for a managed service provider), I don’t sell licences, and I don’t build classic software projects from scratch.
My focus is clearly on Microsoft 365 process automation — that’s what I do, and that’s what I do well.
